World Animation Celebration

This weekend I had the privilege of running our booth for the World Animation Celebration at Sony Pictures Imageworks in Culver City. Our awesome hosts, Animation Magazine and Animation Libation Studios, set up the Vendors and Artists in their courtyard right outside the Harryhausen Theatre. All of it was set up with balloons and cutout characters from Hotel Transylvania and the Emoji Movie. 

Aside from us, many students from CSUN and UCLA had their own booths promoting their bigger projects and personal art. We also provided a Small Intuos Pro Pen & Touch as a prize for one of the many raffles on Saturday. One of the Animation students was very excited to be able to use that in his upcoming classes.

There was a steady flow of students and professionals that came by eager to learn more about new Wacom Products and got a chance to try our MobileStudio Pro on display. We had quite a few amazing drawings from young students. As the day went on, everyone had the opportunity to attend some of the Animation panels, including Fox's American Dad, Nickelodeon's The Loud House, and artists from The Emoji Movie.

It was a great day to talk, network, and receive portfolio reviews. We can't wait to attend next year and look forward to seeing how this even grows. If you ever get the chance, it's definitely worth dropping by when it comes around again.
